WOMEN IN GENRE

In this panel, Sara Harris-Davies, Sarah Giercksy, and Louisa Warren all share their experiences working with genre films.


Sara Harris-Davies

Sara was raised and educated in Caernarfon and Llandeilo. She trained at the Welsh College of Music and Drama. She has worked extensively in Theatre, Film, TV and Radio.

She was highly acclaimed for her performance in the Welsh premiere of Shirley Valentine; one of the scariest and most exhilarating role she has performed. 

She also enjoyed success in TV and Films; Palmant Aur, Porc Peis Bach, Cowbois ac Injans, Roman Mysteries, Cwm Hyfryd/La Belle Vallee and writing and performing Tocyn Diwrnod/Day Return.

She now lives in Cardiff and will perform until she drops.


Sarah Giercksy

Sarah Giercksky, also known as Sarah of Horror is a director, actress, screenwriter and horror lover with a penchant for slashers, horror comedies and gore. She made her debut in 2017 with the feature film Sargad (Wounded) and in 2019 came the horror comedy Create Your Killer. She will be screening her new feature film Bunny Man Slaughter at the festival. Active as a film reviewer on the YouTube channel SarahofHorror and also plays Magic The Gathering every Friday and on the YouTube channel PayTheOneMTG. Favorite movies include Suspiria 1977, The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, the Terrifier movies, the Human Centipede movies, and Blood Rage.


Louisa Warren

Louisa Warren was born in September 1986 in the United Kingdom. She is an actress, director and producer, known for The Ghosts of Borley Rectory (2021), The Suit Weareth the Man (2020) and Leprechaun's Rage (2022). She will be screening her feature film Cinderella's Curse (2024) at the festival.
